Considering an expert psychological evaluation for yourself or your child?
You’re right where you need to be.
Personalized Approach
Answers to your personal questions about yourself or your child in ways that fit in your life. No “standard batteries” with copy/paste “standard recommendations.” No simple “yes/no” answers. I have my own practice because I want to focus on doing a thorough and excellent job for you that meets your needs instead of rushing to meet some external quota.
Clear Answers to Complex Questions
You were born with predispositions shaped by your life experiences. Temperament, cognitive abilities, personality, relationships, all combine and interact with your environment to make you who you are today. I’ll explain it to you clearly, and create a practical list of recommendations and resources, in a way that so you have the information to understand the what, the why, and the how.
Helping You Find Your Way Forward
An expert psychological evaluation shouldn’t just provide test results and categories — it should empower you with knowledge. We will work together to uncover your or your child’s strengths and challenges, giving you the broader understanding to confidently make the decisions that move you toward your goals and dreams. It’s about helping you choose your direction, not giving directives. I will show you options with targeted recommendations and then we will work together to prioritize the ones that are likely to be the most effective for you and your family.

I'm particularly effective working with people dealing with:
Chronic depression and anxiety
Complex trauma and PTSD
Relationship difficulties and patterns
Feeling stressed, overwhelmed, or generally unhappy
Life transitions and identity questions
Persistent struggles that keep showing up in different areas of life
Are you hurting? Are you struggling? Do you feel stuck? You don’t need to know any more than that to get started.
Think of our sessions as collaborative explorations. I'll create invitations for us to examine different aspects of your experience, but you're always free to say "not today" or "that doesn't feel right" when something doesn't resonate. We'll keep looking for paths you want to explore until we find approaches that feel meaningful and helpful to you.
I work best with people who are interested in understanding themselves more deeply, who want direct communication, and who are looking for insight and genuine change rather than just quick symptom relief. If you're curious about why you keep ending up in similar situations or relationships, if you want to understand the patterns in your life, and if you're open to exploring new ways of meeting your needs, we’re probably a good fit.
My approach is conversational and down-to-earth. I aim to create a caring, curious, and authentic atmosphere where you feel grounded, supported, and challenged. I work from a developmental perspective, recognizing that the present builds on the past and that your perspective is based on your personality/temperament and what you’ve learned from your personal history. I use an integrative approach, incorporating CBT, DBT, EMDR, parts work, and attachment principles.
A Little About Me
I earned my PhD in Clinical Psychology from Miami University in 2003. While there, I completed two years of training in the Division of Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics (DDBP) at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. I also provided school-based mental health along with outpatient adult therapy and psychological evaluations at Warren County Community Mental Health Center. I did my internship at Applewood Centers in Cleveland and then returned to Warren County CMHC for my post-doc year.
Post-licensure, I spent seven years back at Cincinnati Children’s, completing psychological evaluations for children and adolescents on the inpatient psychiatry units and in the psychology department's outpatient setting. I moved to Ann Arbor, MI, for a few years, worked with adolescents and adults at a community mental health center, and completed a Master’s in Health Services Administration at the University of Michigan before moving to Florida to work at the Orlando VA Medical Center. The pandemic brought me back home to Cincinnati to be near family, where I again joined Warren County’s CMHC to work with children, adolescents, and adults in psychotherapy and providing evaluations, while also supervising clinical psychology graduate students from Xavier before transitioning to private practice.
I am originally from Brooklyn, NY, where I graduated from Midwood High School and then New York University, but Cincinnati feels more like home to me. I’ve spent more of my life here than anywhere else, and this is where my family is. During my free time, you can often catch me attending eventing horse shows to watch my daughter compete and touring local parks with my corgi, S’mores.
